Dan Delekta started Fly fishing when he was ten years old, encouraged by his dad, who owned sporting goods stores in upstate New York. Dan grew up fishing in the Adirondack Mountains. His passion for trout and steelhead fly fishing eventually led him far from New York, to Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, Washington, Oregon, and British Columbia. He moved to West Yellowstone at age 22.

Dan began tying flies when he was ten years old. He has designed over 200 patterns of flies that are the trademark Delektable™ collection utilizing both traditional and new age materials. His fly patterns are now tied by Riverborn Fly Company in Boise Idaho and supplied nationally. His passion for fly tying is as strong now as it has ever been. He is constantly thinking about, designing, tying, and field testing his new designs in the great Madison River just outside his door and other rivers he guides including the Big Hole, Beaverhead, Ruby, Missouri, Stillwater, Yellowstone, and Big Horn Rivers. Dan loves to make stuff and started building rods in 1975. He now constructs custom graphite, fiberglass, and bamboo rods at the shop. He started Beartooth Flyfishing in 1982, constructing Made in Montana braided leaders, hand-tied leaders, and fly rods.

Dan has access to an apartment, car, and flats boat on Andros Island in the Bahamas. He spends a good amount of winter time fishing the salt for Bonefish and many other saltwater species. He has an opportunity to design and test his saltwater patterns while on Andros Island.

Dan has guided in Montana’s trophy rivers for over 25 years. He built the Beartooth Flyfishing lodge in 1989, with the help of friends. He greatly values the friendships he has built over the years. His love of the mountains, the solitude, and the peace is exceeded by his appreciation of all the people who have treated him like family. Dan loves fly fishing and all the challenges and rewards it brings. He looks forward to continuing to innovate, to being in touch with nature, and to continuing to bring the joys of fly fishing and deeper knowledge of fly fishing to even more people.

Josh grew up in the mountains of Colorado and watched a world class resort grow from the ground up. His passion for fishing got started at a young age when his father would take him camping in the flat top wilderness. When he was about 10 he found an old spin/flyfish combo rod and headed to the river. He has been completely consumed with the sport ever since. Upon graduating High School he headed north to the great state of Montana. He attended college between his days on the Madison, Yellowstone and Gallatin Rivers.

• Hook: Mustad 1x 3906b #12-#18 (any nymph type hook will work)
• Bead: Gold to match hook size
• Weight: 4 or 5 turns of lead wire to secure bead
• Thread: 6/0 Danville prewaxed coffee or beige
• Tail: Guard hair from Hare's mask or fox squirrel (optional: Two strands of pearl krystal flash)
• Body: Light hare's mask dubbing(in lieu of original "Frisky" cat hair)
• Rib: one strand of pearl krystal flash reinforced with monofilament wrapped in opposite direction

Jay Buchner was born and raised in eastern Iowa, and spent a great deal of his childhood on family fishing excursions to Michigan and Ontario, Canada. He learned to tie flies at age 8 from his grandfather.

His fishing experience covers the gamut, from bait fishing for catfish in the Maquoketa and Mississippi rivers, to plug fishing and fly fishing for Northern pike and Smallmouth Bass in the lakes of Canada, to fly fishing for trout in the cold waters of Australia, New Zealand, Poland, Czech Republic, and England, Sweden, France, Spain, Slovakia, Portugal, Finland and tigerfishing in the Zambezi river of Africa.

After moving to Jackson, Wyoming, in the late 60's, Jay turned his love of fishing into a career, guiding fisher people in the Jackson Hole area for nearly 35 years and owning and operating both a retail mail order fly fishing catalog and a fly fishing shop in Jackson.

For several years, Jay and Don Veirs, an entomologist from Logan, Utah, have taught Fly Fishing Entomology through the Teton Science School in Kelly, Wyoming. The class includes field work as well as lab work in identifying aquatic trout foods, fly tying demonstrations relating fly patterns to the "real thing," and fishing opportunities which put to practical use the knowledge learned about the insects and their life cycles.

Jay and his wife, Kathy, have one daughter, Chani, who is now 28 years of age. She enjoys her opportunities to go fly fishing with friends or family whenever she can.

The Buchners have been involved with Trout Unlimited and the Federation of Fly Fishers for many years, attending Conclaves, conventions and the like, demonstrating fly tying and promoting their various business adventures.

Their fly patterns and tying techniques have been featured in such publications as The Second Fly Tyer's Almanac (Boyle & Whitlock), The Book of Fly Patterns (Leiser), Tying Flies with Jack Dennis and Friends (Dennis), Fly Tyer magazine, Fly Fisherman magazine and American Angler magazine.

Articles and photographs by the Buchners have also appeared in numerous fishing and outdoor magazines, such as Fly Fisherman, Fly Tyer, American Angler, Backpacker, Mountain Bike, and the Scientific Anglers Handbooks.

Kieran Frye has been tying flies since 1981. He is an award winning tyer, including the 1994 Mustad Scandinavian Open held in Oslo, Norway. Many of Kieran's patterns were developed during his days afield in his home state of Pennsylvania.

Bob Jacklin (www.jacklinsflyshop.com) has been a fly fishing guide and outfitter in the Yellowstone region for over 37 years. He is a world class fly fisherman, fly tyer, and fly casting instructor. Bob holds a Masters Certification as a fly casting instructor, and sits on the FFF’s Board of Governors for fly casting instruction. He has been tying flies commercially since 1963 and is a past recipient of the FFF’s Buz Buszek award for his contributions to the art of fly tying. There are few people in the country with as much in-depth knowledge of fly fishing, fly casting, and fly tying as Bob Jacklin. He is a charter member of the Federation of Fly Fishers, on the pro staff for St. Croix Rods, Ross Reels, Cortland Lines, and Whiting Farms. He is also a contract fly tyer for Umpqua Feather Merchants. On October 23, 2004, at the Catskill Fly Fishing Center and Museum, Bob Jacklin was inducted into the very prestigious “Fly Fishing Hall of Fame”

Bob is a frequent participant at fly tying shows as well as putting on talks and demonstrations for smaller groups.
