Kieran Frye has been tying flies since 1981. He is an award winning tyer, including the 1994 Mustad Scandinavian Open held in Oslo, Norway. Many of Kieran's patterns were developed during his days afield in his home state of Pennsylvania.

Recipe:

• Hook: Mustad Curved Nymph
• Thread: Uni 6/0 color to match natural
• Weight: Lead Free .025 wrapped around hook, smashed flat
• Rib: Silver Wire
• Tail: Goose Biots
• Body: Dubbing to match natural
• Thorax: Loop Dubbed Rabbit
• Wing: Turkey Quill
• Antennae: Fibers from the wing case

• Wing: Dyed Brown Squirrel Tail Sparse
• Hackle: Grizzly 3-4 turns

• Wing: Teal or Mallard
